MY MISSION

​

I am running to keep our schools caring. To keep them successful.  And to ensure our schools serve ALL students.  

 

I taught in our county elementary schools for nearly 30 years. As a result, I know what teachers and students are most concerned about. I continue to listen to what teachers and students are saying. I also regularly attend our Board of Education's monthly meetings, and I follow what our elected state Assembly members are proposing with respect to public school education.

 

With all of this, I see attempts to push our school system away from serving ALL students. This is happening after decades of working to serve ALL students better, an effort that has produced some of the most caring environments and the most successful outcomes in our state. 

 

My goal is to help our school achieve excellence for everyone.

ABOUT ME

I have lived in Forsyth County for over 50 years. Attending Midway Elementary and Otwell Middle School, I benefited from a great education system.

​

I taught in the Glascock County School system for 3 years. My late husband and I then moved back to Forsyth County.

​

Big Creek Elementary became my work home for 27 years until I retired in 2022.
